Save Teams Chats To Excel

Export Teams chats from the new Microsoft Teams cache on your PC into an organized Excel workbook. Review conversations with dates, times, senders and message text. Organize chats into separate worksheets for each conversation, with a linked summary sheet to move between them. Keep your chat workbook as Excel (.xlsx). Open it in Microsoft Excel to review, filter and organize the records, then print to PDF or save a worksheet as .csv or .txt. These additional conversions are handled by Excel; CSV and TXT normally save the active worksheet.

Keep project details, useful answers and important discussions for future reference. Choose where your workbook is saved and optionally keep a backup copy of the raw local chat cache.

Search Teams Messages

Find useful information in your available Teams chat history. Find project conversations by keyword or phrase, narrow results by participant and date, then open a conversation to read messages in context. Use the included local AI assistant to interpret a search request.

Review actual cached messages, choose the conversations or messages you want, and send your selection to Chat Save before starting the export.

Create Custom Teams Backgrounds

Turn your own pictures into Microsoft Teams backgrounds. Choose a supported image from your PC, then resize, crop and reposition it to fit the Teams meeting background format. You can also start with one of 20 included office backgrounds. Add optional movable text with your choice of installed font, size, color and bold styling.

Preview your design and save a background for Microsoft Teams. Add it to Teams when a compatible profile is detected and folder access is permitted.

Important Before You Buy

Chat export and search use only messages already present in the selected local Teams cache. Complete chat history is not guaranteed. The app cannot retrieve messages that were never cached or recover deleted messages missing from that cache. It is not an enterprise compliance or eDiscovery tool.

Teams cache availability varies by device, account and how Teams has been used. Attachment names may appear in exports; the attachments themselves are not downloaded. Excel is not needed to create an XLSX workbook, but an XLSX-compatible viewer is needed to open it. Quit Teams before exporting. Follow your organization's rules for keeping workplace conversations.
